Knowing your audience, built into every post
Knowing your audience, built into every post

About the project
Fedica is a social media platform built on a simple idea: the better you know your audience, the better every post lands.
Fedica already did more than most social platforms: publishing to every major network, a shared inbox, and some of the deepest audience analytics around, including Tweepsmap, Twitteraudit and Followerwonk. What it did not have was one place to use it all. Each tool lived on its own page with its own way of working, so most people found the one they came for and never found the rest.
We redesigned Fedica as one workspace, from the dashboard to the last follower filter, on desktop and phone. Over six months we worked alongside Fedica’s own team, through the main release and a second one in October that added a new set of follower tools.

The vision
Put what you know about your audience next to every decision you make.
Put what you know about your audiencenext to every decision you make.
Fedica can tell you where your followers live, when they are online, which of them are real and what they care about. That knowledge only pays off if it shows up at the moment you decide what to post, when to post it and who to answer first.
So the design question was never a single screen. It was how to make fifteen audience tools, a planner and an inbox feel like one product, where every part leads naturally to the next.

The workflow
Plan, publish, reply, learn
Plan, publish,reply, learn
Every screen in Fedica belongs to one of four jobs, and each one feeds the next.
A calendar for every account, by month, week or list. Pipelines keep a queue of posts, an RSS feed or a list of quotes publishing on their own, at the exact hours you set for each day.
Write a post once and send it to every network, or tailor it where it matters: a Reel on Instagram, a thread on X. Nothing goes out unreviewed, and a rejected post comes back with a note saying why.
Every message and comment from every account in one inbox. Labels, private notes, assignments and a resolved state let a whole team share the load without answering the same person twice.
Where your followers are, when they are online, who they are and which of them are real. What you learn here feeds straight back into what you post and when.
The idea
One home for every tool
The dashboard is a wall of cards, each one a door to a tool with its key number on the front. Twitteraudit, Followerwonk and Fedica’s own tools share one visual language, so a new tool is a new card, not a new product to learn.
Help where it is hard
Fedica’s most powerful features, like pipelines, are also its least familiar. Each one opens with a short guide and a tutorial on the page itself, not in a help centre.
Filters that read like sentences
“Inactive accounts, not posted in six months.” “Accounts not following you.” Complex questions about an audience, answered with a row of switches anyone can read.
Built to keep growing
193 screens on desktop and phone, all from one system. The October release’s follower tools were built from parts that already existed, and the next tool will be too.

Impact
More of Fedica, used every day
After the redesign, people who came for one tool started using the rest. More teams now plan, publish and reply in Fedica, rather than using it for analytics alone.
