Every part of a celebration, planned in one place

About the project
Posh Celebration is a marketplace for every part of an event: the venue, the food, the decor and the people who make it happen.
Posh began as an event services company in Bangladesh, with more than 300 weddings, birthdays and corporate nights behind it, planned the usual way: one call for the hall, one for the caterer, one for the decorator, and a running total kept in someone’s head. The plan was bigger. A marketplace where customers could put a whole celebration together themselves, from Posh and from other vendors, and get it priced in one go.
We designed it end to end: the marketplace and its vendor stores, Posh Planner, the Posh Buddy assistant, quotes and payments, and every account page, on desktop and on mobile. More than 220 screens went to Posh’s developers, and we stayed on to review their build against the design.

The challenge
Some things you can buy. Most things you have to ask for.
A shop works one way: pick it, pay for it. Half of a celebration does not. A candle set or a decor kit has a price and can go straight in a cart. A banquet hall, a live band or dinner for a few hundred guests depends on the date, the numbers and the place, and someone has to check before anyone can name a price.
Posh pointed us to three marketplaces it admired, and we studied thirteen, from Bridestory and The Knot to Zola and Weddingku. Every one of them listed vendors. None sold anything you could simply buy, so there was no pattern to borrow. We had to design one journey for the things you can buy now and the things you can only ask about, without making anyone plan the same event twice.

The product
Browse, plan, ask, pay
Four ways in, one plan at the end. Wherever someone starts, it becomes one event with one quote.
Venues, food and drink, decor and equipment, people and services, and ready-made packages, with deals of the week and filters for guest count, price and distance. Every vendor has a store with their products, the real events they have done and their reviews.
Start from a template for a wedding, a birthday or a corporate event, or from a blank plan. Add what you like from anywhere on the site, then fill in the date, the city and the guest count. The whole plan goes in for one quotation, and it can be shared with family by link.
An AI assistant that plans in conversation. It asks what kind of event it is, when, for how long, what sort of venue and where, then shows venues that fit and builds the plan right there in the chat. It is the same plan as the planner, so people can switch at any point.
The Posh team checks every item in a submitted plan, and each one shows where it stands: in review, revised or pending. The quote comes back as one total, paid at once or in installments: an advance, a second payment four weeks before the event, and the rest on the day.
The idea
Every card knows what it is
Things you can buy go in the cart. Things that need checking ask for a quote. Anything can go into a plan. The buttons change with the item, so nobody is asked to pay for a hall that has not confirmed the date.
One plan, one quote
A plan travels as a whole. The team checks each item, flags anything that is not available, and the customer swaps or removes it in place, then confirms and pays once. No chasing ten vendors for ten separate answers.
Real events sell events
People do not book an empty hall, they book the night they can picture. So real events done through Posh sit on the homepage, in their own gallery and on every vendor’s store, next to the things that made them.
Made for Bangladesh
Sign in with a phone number and a one-time code, or with Google. Pay by bKash, card or cash, and split the big events into installments. When a plan needs a person, there are experts to call, or to meet in Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet.

Impact
A celebration marketplace, live in Bangladesh
Posh Celebration is live today, billed as Bangladesh’s first AI-powered celebration marketplace, with Posh Planner and Posh Buddy on its homepage. Once the build was under way, we checked it against the design, down to icon sizes, spacing and the grid. Customers who once planned an event one phone call at a time can now put it together, and get it priced, in one place.
