Team

Usarion

Senior designers and developers on your project, start to finish.

A typical agency

A senior team at the pitch, a junior one on the work.

Local fit

Usarion

Queensland's plain-language standard, public-sector privacy notices and WCAG 2.2 AA designed in from the first screen.

A typical agency

Government requirements found out in the procurement review.

AI

Usarion

AI speeds up the routine work. People make every decision.

A typical agency

Either no AI, or AI output passed on unchecked.

Ownership

Usarion

Figma files, code and design system handed over, yours to keep.

A typical agency

Files and know-how that stay with the agency.

After launch

Usarion

The same team stays on for new features and fixes.

What we do for Brisbane teams

Seven services, one senior team

Everything between an idea and a product people trust. Designed, built, launched and branded.

MVP Development

The first working version of your product: scoped, designed, built and launched in six to ten weeks. Small enough to ship fast, solid enough to build the next version on.

UI/UX Design Services

Design capacity for products that already exist. Flows, screens, states and design systems, including the unglamorous screens that decide whether anyone stays past week one.

SaaS Website Design

A SaaS site has one job: make a stranger understand the product in eight seconds and book a call in thirty. Built in Webflow or Framer so your team can edit it.

Design services that scale

From a first audit to a product that grows

01

UX audit

A review of the screens costing you the most: where sign-ups stall, where support tickets start, and what to fix first. Often the right first step before a redesign.

02

User research

Interviews and usability tests with the people who use the product, booked in UK hours, so decisions rest on evidence rather than the loudest opinion in the room.

03

UI/UX strategy

Which problems to solve first, which screens they touch and what success looks like, agreed in writing before design starts.

04

Wireframes and prototypes

Clickable flows you can put in front of users and investors in days, so the expensive decisions are tested before they are built.

05

Scaling support

A design system, documented components and a team that stays on after launch, so every new feature looks like it belongs.

Building for Brisbane

What a product for Brisbane and Queensland has to get right.

Queensland's Digital service standard asks government services to meet the latest WCAG at levels A and AA, publish in HTML first with an alternative for other formats, and aim for a reading age below grade 9. We write and design that way from the first screen, to WCAG 2.2 AA.

Queensland's Information Privacy Act 2009 holds departments, councils and public authorities to the Queensland privacy principles, and a supplier handling personal information for an agency can be bound to the same rules. Notices appear where data is collected, and people can go ahead without a name wherever the service allows it.

Brisbane City Council calls the city the Host City of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, a chance to show South East Queensland to the world. Tickets, transport and bookings are used by visitors who do not know the city, so steps are short and wording is plain.

Queensland's AgTech Roadmap 2023 to 2028 counts software as AgTech and names digital literacy in agriculture as a focus. Tools for growers have to teach themselves on the first run and stay readable on a phone.

What we design

Products we design for Brisbane teams

Industries

Sectors Brisbane builds in

  • 01

    Government services

Departments and councils serve people on every device, including in remote areas.

    • Plain language for every reader
    • Accessible on any device
    • Forms that check as you go, not at the end
  • 02

    Tourism and events

A visitor weighing a festival, a table and a train home wants one short session, not five tabs.

    • Search to booking in as few steps as possible
    • Prices shown in full, early
    • Confirmations people can find again
  • 03

    Health and medtech

Trial participants, clinicians and researchers each need a clear path through a study or a device.

    • Flows tested with real users, not assumed
    • Accessible type, contrast and controls
    • Sensitive data handled with care in the design
  • 04

    Agtech

Growers want a decision drawn from the data, not another dashboard to read.

    • Complex data turned into clear choices
    • Charts people can read at a glance
    • Reports that stand up to scrutiny
  • 05

    Port, airport and freight

Teams that move goods through a port and an airport need each consignment's status in one view.

    • Status at a glance, across every shipment
    • Dense tables that stay readable
    • Keyboard-fast for people who use it all day
  • 06

    Business services

Finance, insurance and legal teams work in dense tables all day, so each screen has to carry the work.

    • Onboarding that reaches value fast
    • Dense screens that stay readable
    • A design system the product can grow on

Why Usarion

Why Brisbane teams choose us

  1. One clock, all year

Queensland keeps a single standard time, ten hours ahead of UTC, and Dhaka is six hours ahead. Brisbane is four hours ahead of Dhaka in every month, so the gap never needs recalculating.

  2. Your close is our afternoon

Brisbane's 5 pm is 1 pm in Dhaka, so a note left at the end of your day is read while ours is still going, and the work is waiting for your next morning.

  3. Inside your tools

Your Slack, your Figma, your repository. We join the way your team already works.

  4. One team, start to finish

The people on your first call are the people who design and build it. Nothing is handed on.

  5. Design and code together

We design the screens and ship the code behind them, so nothing is lost between the two.

  6. Proven across 200+ projects

Brand, product and web work shipped across SaaS, AI, fintech, healthcare and ecommerce.

How we work

Four steps, from brief to hand-off

  1. Step 01

    Discover

    Understand before drawing.

    • We read your deck, analytics and support tickets
    • One working session on what a good outcome looks like
    • Two to three days, not two to three weeks
  2. Step 02

    Plan

    Agree the scope in writing.

    • Screens listed and sequence set
    • Price fixed before work starts
    • A plan you can hold us to
  3. Step 03

    Design

Design where you can see it.

    • Work lands in Figma as it happens
    • You comment, we iterate the same week
    • Nothing unveiled at the end
  4. Step 04

    Hand off

    Built to be picked up.

    • Named layers and real components
    • Documented tokens and a walkthrough
    • Development by the same team, if you want it

Yes, and it is often the cheapest way to start. A short audit tells you which three screens are costing you the most, and whether you need a redesign or just a fix.
