How we compare with a typical agency

Team

Usarion

Senior designers and developers on your project, start to finish.

A typical agency

A senior team at the pitch, a junior one on the work.

Local fit

Usarion

Arabic and English, Omani data rights and screens that sit beside government portals, designed in from the first screen.

A typical agency

A regional template, with Oman's data rules and Arabic fitted in after the first review.

AI

Usarion

AI speeds up the routine work. People make every decision.

A typical agency

Either no AI, or AI output passed on unchecked.

Ownership

Usarion

Figma files, code and design system handed over, yours to keep.

A typical agency

Files and know-how that stay with the agency.

After launch

Usarion

The same team stays on for new features and fixes.

Design services that scale

From a first audit to a product that grows

01

UX audit

A review of the screens costing you the most: where sign-ups stall, where support tickets start, and what to fix first. Often the right first step before a redesign.

02

User research

Interviews and usability tests with the people who use the product, booked in UK hours, so decisions rest on evidence rather than the loudest opinion in the room.

03

UI/UX strategy

Which problems to solve first, which screens they touch and what success looks like, agreed in writing before design starts.

04

Wireframes and prototypes

Clickable flows you can put in front of users and investors in days, so the expensive decisions are tested before they are built.

05

Scaling support

A design system, documented components and a team that stays on after launch, so every new feature looks like it belongs.

Building for Muscat

What a product for Muscat has to get right.

Many of Oman's major ministries are in Al Khuwair, in Muscat. The government publishes a National Design System with ready-made components and a Figma file, and its services share one portal that is introducing a digital identity, THEQA. A product beside them is designed to the same plain, accessible standard.

Oman's Personal Data Protection Law asks for consent before data is processed. People can withdraw it, have data corrected or deleted, and be told of a breach, which a controller reports to the ministry within 72 hours if rights are at risk. A royal decree of September 2026 added provisions on automated processing. Withdrawal and deletion are screens people can find. Your legal adviser signs off the wording.

The Central Bank of Oman names a cashless society among its fintech aims and publishes frameworks for open banking, digital banks and buy now pay later. Visitor guidance says cash is widely used. Payment screens suit both habits, and the step where a person agrees to share bank data.

Muscat has been a trading port between the West and the East since the first century CE, and Matrah is known for its traditional souq. Omran, the tourism development company, has announced a crafts centre in Matrah. Pages for booking and shopping let a visitor choose, see the price and pay in one visit.

What we design

Products we design for Muscat teams

Industries

Sectors Muscat builds in

  • 01

    Digital government

Services that share one portal and one identity should feel like one place.

    • Plain language for every reader
    • Accessible on any device
    • Forms that check as you go, not at the end
  • 02

    Banks, wallets and open banking

Each of these asks people to trust a new screen with their money.

    • Onboarding and identity checks that keep people moving
    • Disclosures that are clear, not buried
    • Balances and risk made readable
  • 03

    Tourism and travel

Visitors landing at the gateway of Oman decide on a phone, so tours and transfers must book in a minute.

    • Search to booking in as few steps as possible
    • Prices shown in full, early
    • Confirmations people can find again
  • 04

    Trade and logistics

Muscat has traded by sea for centuries and has an airport free zone, so freight status must read at a glance.

    • Status at a glance, across every shipment
    • Dense tables that stay readable
    • Keyboard-fast for people who use it all day
  • 05

    Small business and crafts

Craft makers and small shops sell from one phone, so setup has to be quick.

    • A site that matches the shopfront
    • Stock, sizes and delivery shown early
    • Checkout with fewer steps
  • 06

    AI and automated decisions

Oman has a national policy on the safe and ethical use of AI, so screens say when software made the call.

    • Prompt, result and edit in one clear flow
    • States for waiting, failing and being unsure
    • Controls that keep the person in charge

Why Usarion

Why Muscat teams choose us

  1. Two hours, no clock changes

Oman is on UTC+4 and Bangladesh on UTC+6, and neither moves its clocks, so Muscat is two hours behind Dhaka all year.

  2. Your morning, our mid-morning

When Muscat starts at 8 am it is already 10 am in Dhaka, so your day begins with our work under way.

  3. Inside your tools

Your Slack, your Figma, your repository. We join the way your team already works.

  4. One team, start to finish

The people on your first call are the people who design and build it. Nothing is handed on.

  5. Design and code together

We design the screens and ship the code behind them, so nothing is lost between the two.

  6. Proven across 200+ projects

Brand, product and web work shipped across SaaS, AI, fintech, healthcare and ecommerce.

How we work

Four steps, from brief to hand-off

  1. Step 01

    Discover

    Understand before drawing.

    • We read your deck, analytics and support tickets
    • One working session on what a good outcome looks like
    • Two to three days, not two to three weeks
  2. Step 02

    Plan

    Agree the scope in writing.

    • Screens listed and sequence set
    • Price fixed before work starts
    • A plan you can hold us to
  3. Step 03

    Design

Design where you can see it.

    • Work lands in Figma as it happens
    • You comment, we iterate the same week
    • Nothing unveiled at the end
  4. Step 04

    Hand off

    Built to be picked up.

    • Named layers and real components
    • Documented tokens and a walkthrough
    • Development by the same team, if you want it

FAQs

Questions from Muscat teams

Yes. Oman is two hours behind Dhaka all year, and one senior team does the user experience, app design and build.

Yes. Right-to-left screens are mirrored properly, not flipped: navigation, icons, numbers and charts each follow their own rules, designed alongside the English from the start.

Yes. Withdrawal, correction and deletion sit in the account screens, as does the notice after a breach. Your legal adviser signs off the wording.

Yes. The National Digital Accessibility Policy aims at equal access for persons with disabilities and the elderly, and it covers state bodies. We design and test to WCAG 2.2 AA; your legal adviser confirms what applies to you.

Yes. Screens show who receives which data and why, one step at a time. The rules stay with your compliance team and the Central Bank of Oman.

Yes: tours, transfers and tickets that book in a minute, and small shops that show the maker, price and delivery up front.

With a 30-minute call, then a written scope and a fixed price. Once the scope is signed, work starts within days, not weeks.

Each project is quoted once, from a written scope, and the price does not move unless the scope does.

Yes. We keep what works, audit what does not, and move the product forward in stages so your users are never left behind.

Yes. Front end and integrations, by the team that designed it. If you have developers we hand over instead, with a system they can build from.

Yes, and it is often the cheapest way to start. A short audit tells you which three screens are costing you the most, and whether you need a redesign or just a fix.
